Planning your Wedding Photography for 2021 / 2022

With 2020 virtually kaput I have no doubt many engaged couples are planning their wedding photography for 2021 / 2022. I’d like to introduce myself and some of my work and throw myself in the mix to be considered to shoot your special day So my name is Gary and this is my website and I’ve been photographing weddings since 2010 in the UK as well as a whole bunch of destination weddings across the globe.

My style of shooting is a mix of spontaneous documentary and stylish portraits. I have a very personable approach and love to work with couples who are excited about their wedding photography. My intention is never to impose a style of shooting on the wedding which is the best way to keep your work fresh and original. I let the wedding venues, my bride and groom couples and their guests dictate the pace of the day and how I shoot.

I want to let the day unfold as naturally as possible. When I am shooting portraits with my couples I work to keep them away from their guests for minimal time and I usually take around 15-20 minutes to shoot those images. I do feel my couples appreciate this short time away from their guests to spend a little time together. It may be the only time before you leave together at the end of the day that you will be together alone.

You will not see many formal shots on my website but it is also totally available to grab some group shots if that is what you wish. My intention as your wedding photographer is to be of service. I want you to have an experience of me on the day and also when you receive your images of it being a special one and I can promise to deliver a set of images that will blow you away. I do not work on a shot-list.

I want to be present on the day and capture everything that happens naturally. I am a people photographer first and foremost. I love photographing characters and I am always excited when I have a camera in my hand. Photography is the passion of my life and I feel so very fortunate to be able to do what I love as a career.

Your wedding photography is a collaboration. Yes, I am in charge of the camera as that is my job and it is so important to get the kind of photographs you see on my portfolio that we are on the same page. That is why I always invite couples who like my work to contact me for a zoom or telephone chat in the first instance. I would love to hear from you about your wedding plans.
