Story

This image was taken on the Bethnal Green Road in East London in 2021. The idea that the camera never lies isn’t true. The camera is nothing if it isn’t a liar. The smoke here for example is actually a guy further down the street jet washing cars. It’s also taking midday in good weather and the image is underexposed to create the mood I wanted. Photography is smoke and mirrors.
