Seventies Style Fashion Portrait

seventies-style-fashion-portrait.jpg

I’ve started to edit in photoshop and exposure again after years editing pretty much in Lightroom. This is a combination of a few filters attempting to mimic the feel of seventies fashion portrait photography. I wanted a kind of polaroid feel which can be gotten using a combination of a few filters and then fooling around with the curves and adding some grain.

It’s so important when editing we don’t push things to far. We’ve all had the experience of editing an image only to look at it several years later and think ‘what the fuck was I thinking?’ At the very least I should give the image 2-3 days to breath after I’ve edited it before posting.

I tend to push things a little further with post production with individual portraits.

This image was taken during a Blade Runner concept themed fashion shoot I did with Tink Rank Harrington, Ivory Flame and Amelia Mary back in 2019. You can see a bunch of those images here.
