Stop Lying to Yourself
The I do it later phenomenon.
People continually put off living with the promise that things will be better later.
‘Later I’ll have more time.’
‘Later I’ll feel ready.’
‘I’ll do it when I have enough money to buy the camera I want.’
‘One day I’ll charge for my images.’
And on and on.
The reality is, it doesn’t get better later.
It just gets later.
Now!
Now is the only time we get to do anything.
The idea that we’ll get to it later is, well, it’s an idea.
Kids out of the room…
Time is passing, folks. It waits for nobody.
Most people live their lives thinking, ‘I’ll do it tomorrow.’
But have you noticed that when tomorrow arrives, you’re already looking towards the next tomorrow?
And the next.
The only moment you ever truly have is this one.
Right here.
Right now.
