The Dare Photography Experience 2023

I’ve been reflecting this week on the first Dare Photography Experience I’ve facilitated in 3 years. It was a special two days and I felt so great to be back doing what I love to do most.

I ask of the participants that they participate 100%, knowing that the degree to which I participate in life is the degree to which my life is great. Dare is a challenge, it really is, both for the participants and myself. It isn't about sitting back and gathering a whole bunch of new information; you can google all of the information you'll ever need. At the Dare workshop the participants are invited to investigate what is holding them back creatively.

We all of us feel a little separate at times, we feel we are not good enough, possibly even a little bit lonely. We see all of these wonderful lives being projected on Facebook and Instagram and we compare. Dare sheds a light on all of this. It's inclusive.

I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of participants for this relaunch of Dare. They embraced the entire process and their enthusiasm and energy for each challenge was inspiring. The post-workshop interaction and sharing continues and in that there is the whole lot of love that comes from a shared experience.

A special big thanks to Katie and Sarah who assisted the workshop, Katie for the first time.
