Less is More - 9 Portraits of Misa

9-portraits-of-misa-6.jpg

I’m really working on slowing down with my portraits. I want a more refined output. I’ve started to post less and focus more on the quality of what goes out. I think one of the dangers in photographing weddings for so many years is that you can get into a hurried, machine gun, way of editing and working. If you’re not careful this can spill into your other work and life in general. This is contrary to my ideal of less is more. Simplifying and detracting from a scene is so important.

I love photographing Misa. We’ve been creating together for around 6 months now and we quickly formed a a great working relationship and become friends in a heartbeat. I’ve been working with her on both stills and music videos for her portfolio. Here’s Matarehna, the last video we did together. We’re off out again next week to create some magic. These images were taken at a Town House in Kensington.

You can follow Misa on: Instagram & YouTube

I hope you enjoy these frames.
