I’m in a fuckin daze - A Street Photographers Tale
I walk around in a fuckin daze a lot of the time. That's the truth of it. Shouldn't a photographer be switched on, in tune with life and everything that's going on around him? Maybe. I'm not that. Well, at times I am, but mostly I'm half asleep, like a zombie. I love the idea that I'm alert and present and on the balls of my feet all the time I’m out with my camera but frankly it’s an intention for the most part more than it is an experience.
I do suspect though that most photographers are living in this sleep state but don’t even have an awareness of it. So maybe there’s hope for me, like, at least I’m semi aware of it.
I'm not even sure how I get the photographs I get half the time. It's like I see what I see as a consequence of some peculiar sixth sense. A bit like spidey senses.
I’m happy though :)
Here are a bunch of pics I got in Rome.
