Street Photography - The Look of Film
I suppose I should just take more street photography on film. I will. I promise I will. You simply cannot replicate the look of film with digital. It’s more a kind of smoke and mirrors kind of approach in post production that’ll get a you a little closer to the feel. With these images I used the dehaze effect (in reverse) in Lightroom and then brought back the blacks and shadows for contrast. I then added some grain in Exposure.
As I sit writing this I’m looking at my Pentax and I think what I’m going to do is to get some Tri x and then head out and shoot a couple of rolls of street and then post them in combination with this current editing process and see who can pick out the fugazi’s from the real deal. I hope you like the images anyhow.
